Ricardo Liborio

Founder and CEO of Martial Arts Nation, International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Institute and the co-founder of American Top Team (ATT), Brazilian Top Team (BTT), Antonio Ricardo Liborio is an all-round legend of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sport.
Ricardo began his martial arts and judo journey at age 4, before engaging in the Korean kicking art of taekwondo. He began practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu when he was about 15 years old, which became the catalyst for him enrolling at the Carlson Gracie Academy in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, for Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. Here is where he has the opportunity to learn under Carlson Gracie, advancing his skillsets to impeccable levels, which earned him a respectable title as a BJJ practitioner/coach.
Ricardo is one of the top black belts produced by grandmaster Carson Gracie and holds a 6th-degree black belt in BJJ. Furthermore, he was the very first world jiu-jitsu champion in the super heavyweight division in 1996. He has proudly won multiple World Championship Titles in BJJ and in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) as a coach and is currently a professor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the University of Central Florida.
According to Fight! Magazine's most recent "Power 20", which profiles the twenty "most significant power players, movers, shakers, ambassadors, and game-changers in MMA," Ricardo was nominated as "Coach of the Year" for the Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Awards.
